Dale Power Solutions & one of their Higher Apprentices have beaten off competition from hundreds of entrants to be short listed for the Yorkshire and the Humber final of the National Apprenticeship Awards 2014.
Dale Power Solutions has been shortlisted within The Nuclear Decommissioning Site Licence Companies Medium Employer of the Year, whilst leading apprentice Natasha Pitts has been shortlisted for The Unilever Higher Apprentice of the Year 2014.
Speaking about Natasha, Catherine Brophy, the Director of NYBEP who nominated her for the award said:
Natasha has been an excellent role model for students in North Yorkshire schools, enthusiastic and well informed she has explained apprenticeships, including higher apprenticeships, to students and teachers with well chosen examples from her own career. Natasha engages student’s interest both as a mentor and in talks to schools, and teachers have also been extremely pleased with her input in schools. I am delighted to nominate her for the STEM Ambassador of the year award for an Apprentice.

The award winners will be announced at a ceremony organised by the National Apprenticeship Service in September.
Dale Power Solutions have a long standing apprenticeship programme dating back to the 1940s, a success that has led to recognition of being a top 100 UK apprenticeship employer. They played a very vocal role within The 5% Club since joining in October 2013
