Dale Power Solutions has been recognised in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list which is compiled annually by the National Apprenticeship Service in partnership with City & Guilds and recognises excellence in businesses that employ apprentices.
The list was announced at the National Apprenticeship Awards, which took place during the Skills Show in Birmingham on the 13th November. The most exceptional apprenticeship employers from all National Apprenticeship Awards employer categories went forward to feature in the list.
Dale Power Solutions, a Scarborough based engineering firm are committed to promoting careers in STEM subjects, and as part of that they have a long standing apprenticeship programme dating back to the 1940s.
Over the past year, Dale Power Solutions have created 30 new jobs in the region and have plans to double their service business and increase manufacturing, with apprenticeships very much at the centre of their strategy.
25% of the workforce at Dale Power Solutions began their career as an apprentice, which has given their apprentices excellent role models to work with. Every apprentice enrolled with Dale Power Solutions is assigned a mentor in their workplace, who is responsible for sharing their knowledge, supporting, and motivating the apprentice to achieve their full potential.
Commenting on the company’s entry into the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer’s list, Managing Director at Dale Power Solutions, Tim Wilkins, said:
