A team of nine apprentices from Dale Power Solutions Ltd have entered the Brathay Apprentice Challenge 2015 which will see apprentices compete against other teams from across England to be crowned ‘Apprentice Team of the Year 2015’.
The team will be taking part in the regional heats of the Challenge that tests team building, leadership, logistical, and communication abilities. They will also be working on a community project as well as awareness raising activities.
In 2014, Dale Power Solution’s apprentice team narrowly missed out on the national finals and are determined this year to go one step further and get into the top eight teams in the country. With producing award winning apprentices winning regional high apprentice awards for two years running and being listed as a top 100 apprentice employer twice in the last three years, Dale Power are confident that their team have all the right skills and capabilities to break into the top eight and compete to become the country’s ‘Apprentice Team of the Year 2015’.
Working with local stakeholders the team must decide and deliver a project supporting their local community. They will also organize and lead charity fundraising events for their Company nominated charity St Catherine’s Hospice, organise various activities for the National Apprenticeship Week in March, actively publicise their activities via press, radio and social media and produce a portfolio of their achievements to the judging panel.
